We believe great vintage pickups sound open, warm, balanced, and natural—allowing the instrument to “breathe” and project a full, expressive voice.
Through extensive testing and study of magnetic behavior, we’ve worked to recreate that unmistakable character—clear, dynamic, and alive. The result is a tone that feels immediate, musical, and responsive.
Every pickup maker expresses their own interpretation of tone. Like giving the same ingredients to ten cooks, the outcome will always vary.
We offer our own vision for Strat pickups – rooted in musicality, balance, and feel. We drew our inspirations from the eras past and have made every effort to recreate the vintage tones in our products.
As the 43AWG wire is much thinner, it is easy to achieve extremely high DC resistance numbers, allowing to fit more turns on a bobbin to greatly increase output while maintaining a very compact physical profile.
It is the best choice to create "hot" pickups without losing much of clarity.
Although they have some compression effect, they are typically better for shredding and technically challenging styles.
This pickguard will be appreciated by those who prefer the hotter Strat tones, especially for overdriven and high gain sounds. As an upgrade it will provide an excellent tool for shredding and technically challenging styles.
Please contact us before ordering to agree the specs of pickguard that suits your guitar as installation holes may vary. Also, the color of pickguard and knobs.
WOW EFFECT
HOTTER TONE
Wound with 43AWG wire, the Neck pickup delivers that upper-edge "sting" or "snarl" often associated with vintage Fender-style pickups. 43AWG pickups emphasize midrange frequencies, which best define the guitar sound. Compared to standard 42AWG wire, 43AWG coil wire sounds brighter and more focused.
From the very first note, players immediately feel it – the unmistakable “Wow Effect”.
Some guitarists prefer pickups with higher output right away because they assume they sound better and louder. Also, many claim that they can help to play better and can provide that effect when everything comes out easy and smoothly.
NECK
The middle pickup wound with 43 AWG wire produces a little compressed but warmer, and punchier tone. The well-pronounced mids add musicality and good articulation to the tone.
MIDDLE
Probably the best choice of 43AWG wire is for the Bridge. It helps the pickup to sound "smoother" with less harsh or "icepick" treble compared to 42AWG pickups. As solos and overdriven sounds are typically played on the Bridge, the higher compressed output with strong and focused midrange is an excellent choice for cutting through a dense mix.
BRIDGE
The 2nd and 4th positions sound differently with 43AWG than in a 43AWG configuration. Depending on the style of music you play, you can open new shades and tones for your artistic expression.
Designed in a hum-canceling configuration, these positions retain their signature tone without the typical volume drop or excessive phase thinning found in standard setups.
We hope that you also will find these tones useful for your sonic palette.
Kinetic Pickups are built for musicians who want their playing nuance to come through – making them ideal for technically challenging styles and professional performance.
A true upgrade that delivers higher output tones with strong midrange and focused power. Excellent weapon for both classic and modern edge overdriven sounds.
