HOW IT STARTED
SINGLES
Singles are the simplest pickups, yet they have had the greatest impact on music as we know it today. Name the greatest guitar players like J.Hendrix, E.Clapton, J.Beck, SRV, D.Gilmour, R.Blackmore, Y.Malmsteen, and many others, all have one thing in common: a Strat with single-coils. These amazing pickups established the foundation for countless iconic riffs and legendary solos, defining the "electric sound" for several generations.
We understand current marketing and competition issues, so our approach is simple. We choose to be honest with our Customers and to guarantee sound quality and noise elimination advantage of our products. We also offer our vision and own taste for Strat Pickups and understand that tastes may differ and situations vary. We do not want our product to end up in a box with other unused and rejected pickups. In case you may look for other sound after trying our pickups, you will receive a full refund, guaranteed.
We use high quality materials, unique manufacturing technology and spend a lot of time fine tuning every pickup to create the best sound possible. That is why our unique pickups cost more than those of our competitors. If you are looking for the best, we might save you time and money by helping you avoid buying more affordable products from other companies. Every noiseless pickup is individual and the process involved to make them is not something that can be duplicated in a factory somewhere, and probably will never be able to be replicated by any mass production technique. For this reason they are special, made by hand, ear tested and thus are by their very nature more expensive than any typical guitar pickup.
We are looking for partnerships with music stores, guitar manufacturing companies and private luthiers. Also, guitar bloggers and those who can make good video tests and help promote our products we can provide dealer prices and discounts. Please leave us a message.
Kinetic Pickups refreshes the iconic early Fender singles with unmatched noise-free convenience that many Strat players have longed for.
We hope that your guitar outfitted with our pickups will get you to the next level of performance and provide an immediate pleasure to play a noiseless Strat.
NO Mods to your Guitar – the overall pickup size is close to a Typical Strat pickup. Can be used in any Standard Strat body without any modifications and routing work.
NO Phase Issues – All 3 pickups are scatter winded in the same direction and with same magnet polarity as they did in in 50s. So, the 3 pickups are perfectly in phase and have the “full sound”. The usual way to fight the noise in Strat configuration of 3 pickups is the 2nd and 4th Positions. This is done by reverse winding of the Middle pickup making it out of phase and then reverse the magnets polarity bring back the phase which is not perfect. Kinetic Pickups do not require this trick because they are noiseless and provide the best possible combination between all 3 pickups.
Installation – easy and takes almost no time. You need to solder hot (yellow) and cold (red) wires coming from the pickguard to the output jack of your guitar. The ground wire of your guitar should be soldered to the place where the Volume Pot’s Leg is soldered to the pot’s body.
The theory surrounding noise and hum elimination is not novel but eliminating the interference is not a simple task. Kinetic Pickups utilize the counter dummy bobbin along with the active bobbin. However, the “phase reverse” approach has always had one serious drawback: dummy bobbins can effectively eliminate the noise but also kill a good amount of required sound from the active bobbin. Typical noiseless pickups as a result don't sound authentic when compared to a standard pickup with all the noise and full sound. There are frequencies that drop out, especially in the high range and the sound is not so natural and open.
Probably most of you have to deal with electrical interference, imperfect grounding, and radio signals of all kinds that contribute to the unwanted hum in the single pickups. For decades, Fender made a deal with its customers. Single-coil hum? Call it “authenticity.” Yes, there are players who go with sonic ghosts hiding behind the notes but we believe that yet there can be many who would prefer to be free from annoyances that get in the way of the sounds they are trying to create and enjoy.
Any guitarist who has plugged a single equipped guitar into an amp and punched on a distortion pedal will be familiar with 60-cycle hum. It is a problem that has often dissuaded overdrive-loving players away from the renowned Strats and Teles.
However, handcrafted Kinetic Pickups feature the art of shaping the sound based on vintage tone and innovative hum cancelling technology. Every pickup is meticulously ear tested and matched.
Vintage pickups inevitably degrade over time, often because Fender didn’t fully isolate the rods from the winding wire. Kinetic Pickups, like many boutique brands, began out of necessity—rewinding broken pickups. We know exactly how it feels when your 1954 Strat pickup dies and you’re desperate to get that iconic tone back.
A fortuitous discovery of an ancient spool of 42AWG wire, combined with some experience in the audiophile world, allowed me to restore the pickup with remarkable results. What started as a restoration project soon became a hobby—an excuse to experiment and bring joy to fellow guitarists. My deep love for Fender Strat and Telecaster guitars, coupled with a preference for high-gain playing, made one problem impossible to ignore: 60 Hz hum.
After three years of experimentation and hundreds of designs, I finally achieved a breakthrough. From there, the process of perfecting the method led to a solution that eliminated unwanted interference while preserving the natural sound, tone, and balance—without sacrificing treble clarity or dynamic response, as is so often the case with other noiseless pickups.
The idea to create our own brand grew from the realization that we could offer something truly exceptional to the guitar world. Strat Noiseless Singles is our first and flagship product, and we’re immensely proud of it. Countless hours, energy, and resources went into solving the age-old challenge of playing guitar without noise—yet still retaining the tone and feel that players crave.
If you want, I can now take all the sections you’ve had me rewrite and craft a single cohesive brand story that flows seamlessly from your origin to your technology and product, ready for a website or brochure. This would read like a professional narrative that highlights both passion and innovation. Do you want me to do that next?
Fender Stratocaster Pickups: the most famous single-coil pickups, known for their bright, clear, "bell-like", "bottle" and "glassy" tone with fantastic articulation. We couldn't imagine blues, rock, pop, or funk without them.
Fender Telecaster Pickups: known for their piercing "twangy" sound, foundational to country music, as well as blues and rock. The Tele was one of the first solid-body electric guitars to be mass-marketed, and its pickups are renowned for their distinctive tone that cuts through any mix.
The main advantage of Singles is the unmatched string to string articulation thanks to the individual magnet rods. They are ideal for capturing playing dynamics and revealing personal artistic skills and musicality.
Kinetic Pickups match the active and dummy bobbins together in such a way that they are able to eliminate the unwanted noise while retaining the full spectrum of desired sound. It's not an easy task yet numerous tests have proven this approach works. However, there is one big drawback in this technology – it’s a very tedious and time consuming work.Electronic measurement tools are of no use here. Only human ears can pick up the right balance with tasty combination. The product has to be made by hand, one at a time and then meticulously ear tested and matched.
Most guitar lore is fraught with mystery and haze regarding the vintage sound. A game changer insight was to uncover the actual differences between modern pickups and prime vintage examples.
We believe that vintage pickups sound open, warm, balanced and natural. They breath freely with the full sound going forward thus helping a player to create good music. On the contrary the modern pickups sound mainly harsh, unmusical and with that feeling as if something is pulling backwards.
We have completed thousands of tests to understand how magnetic fields work in the vintage pickups and the ones we tried to develop. It might be audacious to say but we have made our best to provide products that sound “in your face”, open, musical and capable of providing that feeling of free full breath advantage.
