P90 pickups are the most versatile tone generators ever created, and they find a natural home in a variety of musical landscapes, adding a distinct flavor to blues, jazz, rock, and even metal.
P94 pickups are humbucker-sized P-90s that fit into traditional humbucker routes without any modification to the guitar. They offer the classic P-90 tone - known for its bite, sustain, and dynamic response - but in a humbucker configuration.
Besides the outstanding sound, P90s are also notorious for picking up more hum and noise than Strat and Tele single coils. That is why we are particularly proud to offer our version of Noiseless P90 and P94 pickups.
Hum cancellation isn't our pickups' main advantage. We paid significant attention to the sound quality. Because we enjoy the pickups of the past, we tried to make our product sound as vintage as possible. Thanks to numerous tests and extensive research we found that certain magnetic field qualities similar to those produced by historical magnets are crucial for reproducing vintage sound. We use specially ordered magnets that allow the guitar strings to move freely in a magnetic field similar to those found in vintage guitars.
Vintage pickups have lower output and produce a cleaner, more dynamic sound with greater touch sensitivity. This contrasts with modern pickups which tend to be wound hotter. Kinetic P94s offer a clear sound with a wider dynamic range, allowing for more nuanced and expressive playing, as the sound remains cleaner when played softly and breaks up more when played harder.
Kinetic Pickups produce an output that is similar to antique models, offering authentic sound as close as possible while also providing excellent playability and convenience.
The ideology of our company is to provide truly noiseless pickups with the best sound possible. To accomplish this objective, we must employ high-quality materials and devote significant effort to ear-matching and testing each pickup.
When making our Noiseless P94 we match the active and dummy bobbins together in such a way that they are able to eliminate the unwanted noise while retaining the full spectrum of desired sound. It may seem daring to say, but we have done our best to produce P94s that sound "in your face", open, musical, and capable of providing the feeling of free full breath advantage.
The second major challenge for our P94s was to develop proper shielding and grounding. Adjusting the coils is just the first step; providing proper shielding and grounding is the second. To maximize effectiveness, multilayer alloys of several materials must be employed. Copper is effective at preventing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) at specific frequencies, while nickel, silver, and aluminum are efficient at protecting against the other range of frequencies.
