OUR STORY
I never set out to start a company making guitar parts or to invent anything that would revolutionize the industry. My only goal was always to achieve the best sound possible. That pursuit led me to develop a deep passion for vintage guitars, classic tube-era amplifiers, and legendary microphones like Neumanns. What began as a simple hobby gradually became something much more—an obsession.
As a guitarist, I was drawn to the warmth and character of sounds from earlier decades. I poured my energy into recreating those tones, both as a musician and an engineer. When the pickup in my 1954 Fender Strat failed, I searched endlessly for someone who could rewind it the way it was done in the 1950s—using scatter hand-winding, natural beeswax potting, and authentic vintage wire. When I couldn’t find anyone capable of doing it properly, I decided to try myself. After salvaging an old spool of 42AWG wire, I began experimenting.
Over time, I studied the techniques and methods of the old masters. What started as a repair project turned into a serious pursuit, and eventually, a true passion. I began building vintage-style pickups for my own guitars, then for friends who heard them and asked me to make custom pickups for them as well.
Through word of mouth alone, orders started coming in from well-known professional guitarists. That’s when I realized I might be onto something special. As I continued deepening my understanding of pickup technology, I made a breakthrough in 2021 that changed everything. I discovered a solution to one of the guitar’s oldest frustrations: unwanted noise. I had created a pickup that preserved the finest qualities of vintage tone while eliminating mains hum—the familiar 50 or 60 Hz cycle that has plagued guitarists for decades.
